This course covers the Process Groups and Knowledge Areas in the PMBOK® Guide, along with their key interactions with each other and will help learners in preparing for the PMI® certification exam.
Existing Project Managers pursuing certification in recognition of their skills and experience; individuals training to become accredited Project Managers.
To apply for the Project Management Professional (PMP)®credential, you need to either:
a) Possess a Secondary Degree (High School Diploma, Associate's Degree, or Global equivalent) with a minimum of five (5) years / 60 months of unique (non-overlapping) Project Management experience, with 7,500 hours in leading and directing projects, and 35 hours of Project Management Education.
b) Possess a four (4) year degree (Bachelor's Degree or the Global equivalent) and a minimum 3 years/36 months of Project Management experience, with 4,500 hours in leading and directing projects, and 35 hours of Project Management Education.
Main objective is to prepare participants/mentee for PMI-PMP® certification. After completing this course participants will get the corresponding PDU education hours needed for exam.
The learning plan is structured as follows:
Evaluate candidate qualifications and prerequisites for certification
Information about PMI-PMP® exam
Prepare study plan
Provide studying materials: “PMP Exam Prep by Rita Mulcahy” book
Conduct 5 sessions with candidate with goal to decompose knowledge from PMBOK® Guide: 5 process groups, 49 processes and 10 knowledge area including sample questions after each session.

Conduct 2 Q&A sessions one month before taking the exam
